The app tells the Bible story of David vs. Goliath through a series of story chapters, fun mini-games, and secrets to unlock. According to founder, Gerald Hinson, Righteous Tales was created to “get kids excited about God’s word”. Hinson, a software veteran and father of four, quit his Microsoft job and began working with animator friend, David Hammer, to create high-quality, Bible-based apps - something they felt was missing. Hinson says, “The stories of the Bible contain the Godly values and character we all want our kids to internalize, but I couldn’t find any Bible-based apps that my kids actually wanted to play. I thought, “This is tragic and we can make a difference.””

 

Regarding the Android release Hinson says, “Bring ‘David vs. Goliath’ to Android is about reaching as many kids as possible. Over half of the families worldwide are Android-only families. In some countries over 75 percent. It was unthinkable to us to build a great Bible app and not make it available to as many kids as possible.”
